Backroom Puppets is a creative electronic music project made by humans and machines.

Built around a love of electronic music in all its forms, there aren't many rules. Techno, trance, bassline, jungle, garage, disco and whatever happens when somebody presses the wrong button are all fair game.

Behind the masks are human songwriting, ideas, lyrics, stories and creative direction. Artificial intelligence and digital music tools bring those ideas to life, turning words, melodies and occasionally questionable decisions into finished tracks.

Words written by people. Music produced by machines.

Sometimes serious. Frequently ridiculous. Always curious.

Rab and Zeb are our guides through it all. Two masked figures wandering through clubs, streets, supermarkets, strange worlds and wherever else the music takes them.

Backroom Puppets isn't about pretending the machines aren't there. They're part of the experiment, and we're quite happy to admit it.

We're here to discover what happens when human ideas collide with artificial production, break a few musical boundaries and have some fun making a lot of noise along the way.
